Where should the tags of WP 2.3 go in this tumblelog theme?

I would say that you should put them visible on the journal posts and hidden for the rest unless they open up the post. Can that be done? That can be done.
Also, I am about to move my blog over to this theme, but if you are releasing an update I will wait—any idea when?
Rhett – I like that idea, and it is easily done. I’ll play around with a layout and look soon.
I’ll post my progress on this blog just in case an update is too far out for you. It may take me a while before an official update is put together with the tag support, but I’ll at least give you the details in the setup page and this blog once I get it working well. Go ahead and make the switch.

Yeh, definitely. I used to use Ben Gray’s unsleepable and so I have followed this closely. Yeh, I might make the switch and then I can just update whenever. I had planned on putting the tagging in myself, but I can wait a bit.

The first two post have been tagged and styled.
The url’s tags are blank on the blog and appear on the single post page.
The Journal’s tags appear both places.
I just need to make sure I don’t miss any spots I want them to appear like searches, category and date archives, etc.

Yup, I think that’s exactly what I had in mind. Looks good. I like the styling too.
Rhett – Thanks. All I have left to do is make the update backwards compatible. I don’t want the tags bar to show up in older versions of WP or if a post doesn’t have tags.
I’m putting it together in an update of T1, and if I have time and everything works, the update should be complete within the next couple of days.
Everything seems to be running fine at my http://livetardy.com/life site.
Tags don’t show up if they aren’t there, they don’t display on blog pages or archive pages, and a simple Tags Page Template is set up as well. Let me know if you see anything not working/looking right, otherwise, I’ll package it as an update.

It’s official. T1 now supports tags from WordPress 2.3.
