While you do credit Ben Gray for a lot of the design features of the theme, I am not sure that it differs from his original design. 90% of the design looks like it was straight from his CSS file including his images…
Will – You’re right. Most of the theme came strait from Ben.
I was working furiously on creating my own theme from scratch when I came across Ben’s site. I asked if he would pass his theme along, and he politely said no.
So, I worked from what he had to meet what I was looking for in a theme. I’ve made several changes not only to Ben’s CSS, but also to the core Sandbox files. At the same time I didn’t want it to “differ from his original design” too much, because what he had was exactly what I was trying to create.
When I thought about releasing this as a theme, I emailed Ben to have him look over the site and make sure he was cool with it. He said since I’m still using his images to be sure and give him credit. I’ve tried to give him credit on this site and even with a link in the author section of the theme.
I don’t know Ben personally, but if you feel like I’ve mishandled the situation, please let me know.
