Brady’s comment explains the phrase.
I just thought the word picture illustrated the principle better than just the words, “Don’t put reason above the Bible.” That’s too logical.

I guess I didnt understand the bride part. I have never heard it put that way. I have never understood how anyone could think that logic or reason could ever trump the truth. To me, there is no logic outside the information that is given to us. Nothing else has ever made complete sense. When the Scripture speaks on any subject, it is completely logical. As in the case of men doing what they do and living in complete kaos. The only logical answer would be total depravity. And even the church denies such logic, therfore the church at times lives ilogically!
