Malachi says that the Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in his wings.
This Sun - Jesus - did arise, and he physically healed many people as seen throughout the gospels. But, did healing come from his wings?
The word for wings used in Malachi 4:2 is the Hebrew word kanaph which describes a border or outer edge. This is the same word used in Numbers 15:38-39 when God details out part of the law through Moses.
Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue.
It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, so as to do them and not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot,
Numbers 15:38-39
The corners, the wings of the garment, held the tassels which were to remind them of the commands of God. Since the Messiah would have healing in his wings, the Jews expected there to be healing in his tassels.
A woman had this very expectation of the Messiah - a woman with a blood disease that had only gotten worse over twelve years and cost her everything she had. In Matthew 9, she reached out and touched the fringe of Jesus’s cloak as she thought, “If I only touch His garment, I will get well.” She did get well, but she wasn’t the only one.
Jesus came to a town called Gennesaret where he healed many more through his wings.
And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding district and brought to Him all who were sick; and they implored Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were cured.
Matthew 14:35-36
There is no doubt that Jesus did come with healing. This healing however, came from more than just his tassels, and it healed more than just physical needs.
“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings…” (Malachi 4:2)

I have never heard the wings interpretation. That’s powerful. When I think of Jesus’ message to save the whole world I can very well envision wings encompassing, protecting, healing.
