Does his wife celebrate the special anniversary?

But Christian’s rebranded all the pagan ceremonies. No real surprise here. Christ wasn’t born Dec 25, it is the Winter Solstice.

    Well said.

I guess kinda like Christians rebrand pegan rock and roll and pegan bumper stickers…

I’d rather them be celebrating the birth of the Savior of the world rather than sacrificing their children to pegan gods.

My guess is whatever is pegan is going to be consumed by the cross anyway, so… why add all the intellectual bull crap?

what I mean is everything will be consumed by the cross of Jesus Christ, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. Jesus told Pilate that His kingdom was not of this world… so, consumed spiritually, not physically by the Truth.

I said itellectual bull-crap in reguards to the reference to Christianity, saying Christianity is consuming the poor little pegan religions. If you do any research at all you’ll learn these pegan religions were not a bunch of peace loving hippys… they were corrupt and wicked, sacrificing their own children to their false gods… the first 300 years of Christianity, Christians were burned alive, tortured, sawed in half, raped, empaled… and whatever else you can think of, which was the influence of pegan religions in Rome which promoted and allowed that. So, I’m glad to be celebrating the birth of a Savior rather than a pegan winter solstice.

My point exactly. If your wife isn’t allowed in, not a good place to go.

So, guys, i am trying to follow yall here…

is it better to celebrate a holyday as the world does…halloween…or is it better to take the holy things of God…ie…the ressurection of Christ…an attach the world to it…ie all the worldly things Christians do to celebrate easter? i agree that someday every knee will bow to Him…my question is, “how do we obediently bow to him now?” In the Bible, how does God feel when His people replace teh pure worship of Him with a mixture of worshiping him and copying the practices of the heathen? Are you guys saying it is better to celebrate Gods holy days like the world does or to not celebrate the worlds holidays period or taht Christians should “rebrand” the worlds holidays…ie a christian version of Haloween (as has been done with december 25th and easter) or what?

You mean to tell me that Jesus didn’t go trick or treating as a little boy?
